Here's what it means to be a Period Positive Employer

As well as your donation of an intheflow menstrual cup...

Open Conversations

We commit to fostering an environment where open discussions about menstruation are welcomed and encouraged. By breaking the silence, we aim to eliminate stigma and create a culture of understanding.

Accessible Menstrual Products

We pledge to provide free and easily accessible menstrual products in all restrooms. This includes a variety of options to cater to different preferences, cultures, genders, and needs. We understand that not all women have periods, and not all people who have periods identify as women.

Flexible Breaks

Recognizing that menstrual cycles vary, we commit to offering flexible break times for individuals who need to manage their periods during the workday. Our team members' comfort and well-being are important to us. We support breaks and flexibility as and where we can support this, with it being a top priority.

Educational Initiatives

We will implement educational programs and workshops to promote menstrual health and menopausal awareness. This includes distributing informative materials, hosting workshops, and inviting experts to discuss menstrual well-being.

Wellness Support

Our company understands that menstrual health is a crucial component of overall well-being. We pledge to create a working environment as an understanding and supportive team, encompassing additional support during the menstrual cycle.

Inclusive Policies

We commit to reviewing and updating policies to ensure inclusivity. This includes considering the unique needs of individuals experiencing menstruation in areas such as dress code, facilities, and flexible/remote work arrangements. An example of this may be TOIL rather than 'sick' days, in view of HR.

Zero Tolerance for Discrimination

Discrimination based on menstruation is not acceptable. We pledge to enforce a zero-tolerance policy for any form of discrimination related to periods and sexism as a whole, and to create a safe space for open communication.

Period-Positive Resources

We will provide resources such as informational pamphlets, apps, and online platforms that support period tracking and menstrual health. Empowering individuals with knowledge is key to a positive experience.

Advocacy and Philanthropy

Beyond our workplace, to mark our commitment to supporting women and girls, we are partnering with intheflow to make an annual donation of menstrual cups. This partnership promotes menstrual equity and actively tackles period poverty. We recognize the broader impact we can have in contributing to positive change and we are proud to partner with a social enterprise and support their mission.

By taking this pledge, we aim to set a standard for period positivity in the workplace. Together, we can create an environment where every individual feels respected, supported, and empowered throughout their menstrual journey.
